WORKTECH London 24: creating value in the built environment through connectivity & community

Cordless Consultants was thrilled to support WORKTECH London 2024 from 18-20 November. This year’s festival format spanned the City of London, showcasing workplace trends and offering opportunities to explore how organisations are embracing the future of work.

From thought-provoking roundtables to innovative workplace tours, the event gave inspiration all round. Cordless contributed to a panel on how technology is shaping real estate and improving human experiences, featuring our Head of Smart Solutions at Cordless, Ravi Lakhani. Here, we explored the role of smart building data, sensors, and benchmarking in creating inclusive, sustainable and future-ready workplaces.

Later, joining Ravi on stage, our MD, Nigel Miller also participated in a special “Mock the Workplace” workshop, tackling gritty workplace topics in a gameshow format including: digital transformation, AI, sustainability, health-focused design and talent attraction.

A key takeaway from the event is an area that our clients are dealing with every day: balancing the human experience with real estate performance.

Smart buildings and data are now really helping to shape culture, diversity, and sustainable workplace policies. Using the tools and technologies at our fingertips, it is possible to master a mindful combination of human-centred; yet data-driven, decision-making.

Working to intentionally embed digital change in our built environments helps set us up for future success. However, the role of AI in the workplace is definitely one to watch… and as workplace leaders, we’d better be in the driving seats!

Reflecting on the event; a great summary shone through… productivity through connectivity, and community. The future of the built environment is about creating value by bringing people together, fostering teamwork and culture. Cordless couldn’t agree more.
