The Challenge
A new head office location at Building 7 in Chiswick Park was selected to unite all London-based colleagues of Pernod Ricard UK, Pernod Ricard Global Travel Retail and Chivas Brothers into a highly collaborative and inspiring workplace.
Cordless was engaged to advise on and project manage the IT, AV and physical security for the building to help create a technology-enabled space with impact.
The project needed to maximise the 80,000 sq ft space over 3 floors to reflect the values of the Group’s tagline “Créateurs de Convivialité” and unlock the magic of human connection, with the new office designed to promote relationships that are simple, genuine, direct, transparent, and authentic.
The Solution
Cordless designed and delivered Local Area Network design, passive IT, AV, Security and Room Booking solutions, from the initial technology visioning through to project management implementation and post project occupancy.
The technology, underpinned by a robust Structured Cabling System, enables a range of workspaces in the building. Over 50 meeting and collaboration rooms including training rooms, a Boardroom and Town Hall space range from standard meeting rooms to high-end collaboration spaces with audio and video conferencing, as well as wireless presentation capabilities. Laptop-hosted conferencing gives flexibility of transfer from desktop to meeting rooms, utilising room-based AV systems for optimum experience, including ceiling microphones and participant tracking cameras.
The ‘Bar and Heart’ space is a welcoming epicentre of the building with a built-in LED wall. There is a lab space to create new drink serves and host video and photo shoots. The workplace also benefits from building-wide digital signage, IPTV distribution and a background music system. Unified Communications supports user collaboration and mobility.
The Results
Despite the Covid-19 pandemic, this ground-breaking project successfully delivered one of the first enterprise rollouts of fully wireless room-based conferencing, including fully automated operation for seamless transition from desktop to meeting room conferencing.
The technology really has helped to create wow-factor with top of the range functionality in an amazing space that fully complies with BREEAM standards.
The client is delighted and now has a flagship hub to welcome its employees back, uniting key UK operations to deliver a great user experience.
“Cordless took a collaborative approach to our brief, spending the time to really understand our needs as a business. As a result, we now have a state-of-the-art office with conviviality at the heart. The unique space supports an agile, collaborative and convivial way of working, and with the help of Cordless, has been designed to improve health, wellbeing and productivity in the workplace.”
