Network Homes is an award-winning housing association. With over 20,000 quality affordable homes across London, Hertfordshire and the South East, it builds, sells, rents and manages homes in thriving communities, housing over 38,000 people.

Network Homes wanted to relocate to a state-of-the-art new HQ in Wembley Park. With significant regeneration investment commitment to the Wembley area to create new opportunity in the region, this made the location an important strategic area for the business to operate from.

Network Homes is a forward thinking and diverse organisation that prides itself on customer service. Cordless was engaged to support the project with workplace technology consultancy for the fitout of 32,000 sq ft of new space. The objective was to provide a new workplace for 380 employees with technology that would be fit for purpose, offering an optimum user experience, along with best value.

Cordless helped to design, procure and project manage the required IT and AV technologies for the new building.

The building connectivity was underpinned by a robust Structured Cabling System across the 4 floors and a comms room to house the IT, AV and security equipment as well as the BMS. Cordless oversaw 100% testing of all installed cables, including on site witness testing.

The rooms and workspaces in the new building were equipped with technology to support project work, internal and customer meetings, conferencing, training and presentations. A building wide IPTV and signage system provides a display to the central hub and reception spaces to support corporate communications and wayfinding.

A ground floor interview suite is welcoming for guests, including a hearing loop. Fully AV enabled workspaces throughout the building include a range of meeting and training rooms, a Boardroom, a café, a Town Hall space, touchdown project spaces and refreshment hubs.

All meeting, presentation and training rooms are equipped with room booking panels as well as the capability to present using both wired and wireless facilities. Crestron Flex technology allows presentations and conferencing from user devices and the Boardroom offers additional functionality through a Microsoft surface hub device.

This project was successfully completed despite disruption caused by Covid-19. The building now provides the flexibility for Network Homes to be able to welcome its clients and customers for onsite meetings and for the remainder of the workforce to make use of the building as they need.

Moving forward, Cordless is on hand to offer advice and guidance to Network Homes surrounding Covid-safe use of the new HQ, to protect the investment made in technology.
